Hide wp-includes, wp-content, and wp-uploads in the Browser

If these folders (wp-includes, wp-content, and wp-uploads) are visible in the browser then you must hide them. If you want to check these folders are visible or not then try this path yourwebsite.com/wp-includes/js/jquery/. By visiting this path, If your files list is showing then it means it is very dangerous for your site. You have to disable the browsing directory through .htaccess file.

If you don’t disable it then it will create vulnerability for the site and hackers can hack your site.

To disable the browsing directory, add the below code at the end of the .htaccess file and that’s it. You are safe now.

Options -Indexes

Save it and recheck that link in the browser to see that it is disabled. And you cannot visit now these path wp-includes, wp-content, and wp-uploads
